PST had the only flawless record in the Championship until today and Springies fully deserved this win. Easily our best performance of the season and a perfect example of how hard work and effort brings results. Although PST had chances, we continually created openings through Manny, Jamie, Marc and Jack. Manny scored two, hit the post, lobbed the keeper just going wide, Jamie had a shot tipped onto the bar and lobbed the keeper only for him to get back and scoop the ball out just as it was about to cross the line. We took the lead after 3 mins and it was already Manny's 2nd shot on goal. We had a bit of fortune after 10 mins when there free-kick from 20 yds out hit the bar. By half-time we had more than deserved our lead but we knew we would have to keep up the same effort to see the game out. PST came out with wind in there sails but just as last week, our defence looked solid. With 15 mins to go, Manny capped a fine game when Jamie put him through on goal and he slotted home. We saw the game out with a fine near post save by Owen but as last week, he wasn't called upon to make too many saves. Really hard to select Man Of The Match with 13 players up for consideration but Ben in my opinion deserved it playing really well and taking no risks. Special mention to Lee who stood in at right back and looked like it was his natural postion.
